Time: All Day!
Mark Millar is one of the most recognised faces on BBC1's DIY SOS programme, as well as being our very own "Belfast Bristolian". The happy go lucky builder moved to Bristol in 1985 and has been building homes here ever since!
In 2005 Mark was approached by the BBC to engineer the 'big builds' on DIY SOS, and he's been project managing these amazing, extra-ordinary builds for the past 10 years. His cheeky antics coupled with incredible building skills have kept the audience amused throughout. He also regularly pops up on local radio, BBC Points West and Children in Need, and recently co-presented the BBC series How Safe Is Your House?
In his spare time Mark has a great passion for the outdoors, enjoying wild swimming, kayaking, camping and shooting the breeze with his beloved springer spaniel, Judy. He's also a self-confessed Facebook fiend and loves sharing ideas, videos and his own brand of Irish wisdom.
Mark is really excited about compering TEDxBristol because he loves watching TED talks and chewing the cud on many a topic, and would be just as excited to be sat in the audience. He can't wait to bring you a day jam-packed with brilliant and thought-provoking stories, with maybe a sprinkling of humour too.
...that we can all slow down a bit, look around us and take good care of our gorgeous and one and only planet.
